Fast Track to TII

Fast track to transactions in industrial informatics

INDIN 2020 presents a unique chance of fast-tracking best papers to IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics (TII). Authors intended to use the fast track shall submit papers in the form following the transactions requirements: length up to 8 pages, double-column IEEE format, without authors’ names and affiliations. If the paper is accepted and recommended for the transactions’ submission, the authors will be asked to:

1.

Revise the paper according to the reviewers’ comments and submit it to the TII with attached summary of revisions. The paper will be then subject to double blind review process of TII. Answers to reviewers’ comments point by point should also be included.

2.

Prepare a shortened, 4 pages long version for the INDIN proceedings and submit it by the ‘final manuscripts due’ deadline of INDIN 2020. This version shall include authors names and affiliations as per the usual INDIN template.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I submit to the fast track, I cannot find it in the submission system?

Please submit to a regular technical track or a special session. As long as the paper looks like it is formatted for transactions and complies with the blind review requirements (i.e. it does not include names and affiliation of authors or other hints to identify them (i.e. acknowledgements) the track or session chairs will organise the review process accordingly.

2.
If my paper is not accepted for transactions, can it be presented at the conference and appear in the INDIN proceedings?

Result of a paper review submitted to the fast track can be three-fold:

1. Paper is recommended for T-II

In this case, the authors will be asked to submit the reduced 4 pages version of the paper for INDIN proceedings. They also will be informed about the process of submitting for T-II of the revised version of their full paper.

2. Paper is not recommended for T-II but is accepted for INDIN

The authors will revise the paper based on the reviewers’ comments and submit as a final manuscript for INDIN proceedings. In case if the resulting paper is longer than 6 pages, the authors will be requested to pay extra page charges.

3. Paper is rejected

In such an unfortunate case, no action is required, but improve and submit for INDIN next year.
